Webinar 9 December: Ethics, Safety, and Abuse in Psychedelic Medicine

Ethics, Safety, and Abuse in Psychedelic Medicine

Wednesday, December 8th from 12:00-2:00pm PST

As psychedelic medicine becomes more mainstream, we must ensure that all who participate in healing therapeutic sessions, both above ground and in ceremonial or underground therapeutic settings, are safe and accessible to all. Join Chacruna and mental health experts and activists, Allison Feduccia, PhD, Vilmarie Fraguada Narloch, PsyD, Kylea Taylor, MS, LMFT, and Emma Knighton, MA, LMHC, to discuss topics around standards of care and accountability for practitioners in the psychedelic-therapy space, addressing issues of power, hierarchy, and abuse. We hope this forum will help therapists and ceremonial leaders understand the need of doing their “own work”, and their own responsibility in keeping people safe, as well strengthen a culture of open conversation in the field around these delicate issues for everyone.
