Cultiva Law, PLLC is seeking a paralegal to join our litigation practice and support our Seattle team. Cultiva Law is a cannabis law-specialty firm primarily serving Pacific Northwest clients. We take pride in providing exceptional legal services while creating a professional and friendly culture.
This is a self-starter position that requires the ability to work independently but also take direction and work within a dynamic team. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and manage deadlines, have strong verbal and written communication skills and be detail oriented.
Qualified candidates will have experience in the following areas:
- A minimum of 2 years litigation experience or a paralegal certificate.
- Organize and maintain files and binders; updating case information sheets, pleading indexes, etc.
- Draft, type, edit and proofread correspondence and other documents; prepare and send final documents.
- Submit conflict checks and open new matters; close files.
- Schedule court dates, appointments, meetings, travel arrangements, etc.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, potential clients, other counsel and their assistants, court officials, messenger services, etc.
- Maintain calendars. Establish and maintain deadline reminder system.
- Filing pleadings and other legal documents with the State and Federal courts (including ECF).
- Organizing and filing internal office documents.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, potential clients, other counsel and their assistants, court officials, messenger services, etc.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Clio.
