It’s Easy To Make Healthy Cannabis Oils

Eating cannabis edibles is great, but eating cannabis edibles that are healthy is even better. The brownies and Rice Krispies treats are tasty, but that doesn’t have to be the edible of choice. Using cannabis infused olive oil or coconut oil to cook up tasty and nutritious meals is a healthier way to go.

How To Make Cannabis Infused Olive Oil

To make cannabis infused olive oil you will need 3.5 cups of virgin olive oil and 1 ounce of finely ground marijuana. Put virgin olive oil on a sauce pan and start heating it at medium. Once lightly heated, you can begin to add on the marijuana. Make sure it is ground to a powder. You can use a coffee grinder for this. Let it simmer and stir, but do not let it boil. Boiling causes too much THC to be released and wasted.

If you see bubbles begin to form in the oil, turn it down and remove it from the burner until it cools. Do this for about an hour or two and finally put the oil in a container and let it cool.

How To Make Cannabis Infused Coconut Oil

To make cannabis infused coconut oil you will need coconut oil, 1 to 3 ounces of marijuana, water, a crock pot, fine metal strainer, a thermometer and a cheese cloth. Again, make sure the marijuana is ground to powder. Add coconut oil into the crockpot and set the heat setting to high. Then add the marijuana and began to stir until the mixture is completely saturated. Insert the thermometer into the pot and monitor until it reaches 250 degrees. Then turn the heat setting to low and begin to stir while monitoring the temperature to stay around 250 and 270 degrees.

You will need to keep adding water in intervals to keep the cannabis submerged. After 15 minutes, turn off the crockpot and let it cool. Use the cheesecloth to wrap the strainer, place it over a large container, and beginning pouring the mixture into the cheesecloth, allowing it to drip completely. Let the container cool in the fridge overnight, and you will have coconut oil to enjoy the next day by producing some delicious dishes.
