Tomorrow starting at 12 pm the Devil’s Night 24 hour Livestream for Mat the Alien will begin. The fundraiser aims to raise funds for the local DJ. Mat Andrew, otherwise known as Mat the Alien, was left paralyzed from the chest down after a serious mountain bike crash in Nanaimo, BC. His family has set up a GoFundMe page to raise $200,000 to help pay the costs associated with his recovery.
“The Livestream serves as a fundraiser for Mat the Alien,” said event organizer and DJ, Koji Aiken. “We believe that we can bring the community together to help Mat and his family out through these unfortunate circumstances. The stream also aims to highlight and showcase local Vancouver talent. It serves as a stepping stone in our mission to build a platform for artists and DJs alike; to help give opportunities and to cultivate the music scene in Vancouver.” The fundraiser Livestream will also take place on twitch.
