Two compounds that target the endocannabinoid system are currently in development to treat scleroderma – and they’re already in clinical trials. Pharmaceutical researchers have their sights set on developing a drug that bypasses CB1 while boosting CB2. Referred to as a “selective CB2 agonist ,” such a compound would appear to have potential as a treatment for scleroderma.

BREAKING NEWS: Washington State Bans Flavored Vapor Products

On October 9, 2019, the Washington State Board of Health (“BOH”) voted to adopt emergency rules banning flavored vapor products, including marijuana products, in Washington State. The ban is effective as of October 10 and will run for 120 days. It’s not as if we didn’t see this coming. On Monday, Hilary Bricken wrote on this blog that cannabis businesses should expect these types of vapor bans.

Some four in ten adults who reported using both marijuana and opioids within the past year acknowledge either decreasing or ceasing their consumption of opioids as a result of substituting cannabis, according to an analysis of survey data published in the journal PLOS One. A team of investigators affiliated with the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center assessed the prevalence of self-reported cannabis substitution in a nationally representative sample of pain patients.

The Camarillo City Council rejected a proposed moratorium on industrial hemp cultivation, bucking the trend of hemp bans in other cities in the county. The ordinance , which needed a four-fifths vote to pass, was rejected 3-2 in a council vote during a meeting on Wednesday night.
