ACT Policing has seized more than $100,000 in cash and around 43 kilograms of cannabis after executing search warrants earlier this week.
On Wednesday morning (3 March), detectives from the Criminal Investigations team searched a home in Palmerston and located several vacuum-sealed bags containing more than $100,000 in cash. Police suspect the cash to be the proceeds of crime.
A further search warrant was executed yesterday (4 March) at an unoccupied residence in Yarralumla.
AFP Canine teams assisted investigators in locating approximately 43 kilograms of dried cannabis in vacuum-sealed bags. This volume of cannabis has an estimated street value of $300,000.
While no people have been charged in relation to these warrants, police believe a crime syndicate focused on the supply of cannabis and other drugs into the ACT is responsible. Investigations are continuing.
