Wildfires destroyed at least seven cannabis businesses in Oregon – ‘confirmed total loss’

Once again our heart goes out to the individuals and businesses involved.

Biz Jnls reports…

Seven licensed Oregon cannabis businesses — five in Jackson County — were confirmed total losses in this month’s wildfires, state regulators said.

The Almeda fire in Jackson County was the most destructive blaze, claiming four businesses:

EcoTest Labs in Phoenix, and

retailers Grateful Meds and Fireside Dispensary in Phoenix and

Emerald Consulting in Medford.

The South Obenchain fire northeast of Medford destroyed a grow, Primo Farms.

Other confirmed losses, according to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, were

retailers Canyon Cannabis in Gates, where the Beachie Creek fire burned, and

Blue River Grass Station in Blue River, where the Holiday Farm fire burned.

More businesses remain at risk, including grows in Josephine County, west of Jackson County, where the Slater fire still had some licencees under Level 3 evacuations orders as of midday Tuesday.
