Judge denies Santee Sioux tribe’s motion to grow industrial hemp

Per our report yesterday with regard to lawsuits

A federal judge has denied Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe’s request for a preliminary injunction to get the United States Department of Agriculture to rule on a plan to grow industrial hemp.

Federal Judge Karen Schrier denied request Thursday.

The tribe must now wait until the case concludes or until the USDA approves the tribe’s proposed hemp production plan.
