The city of Denver, Colorado, decriminalized the possession and use of psilocybin in 2019—the first U.S. If passed, the Department of Regulatory Agencies would be required to develop rules that would allow for therapeutic psychedelic programs at licensed healing centers for adults to receive psychedelic treatments by a trained facilitator.
