At the state level, a new decriminalization law took effect this week in Hawaii involving the possession of up to three grams of marijuana, as well as a procedure for expungement of past convictions for the same amount. In 2019, a similar bill, House Bill 364, passed the state legislature but was then vetoed by Governor Sununu.
