Lusty Lady is a hybrid cross of Bahama Mama and Red Runtz, bred originally by Exotic Genetix. Thick-orange hairs weaved across the surface and under sugar-leaf remnants, while milky trichomes dotted the surface. Overall, this was an easygoing floral hybrid that could be enjoyed any time of day.

Acapulco Gold is a sativa-leaning hybrid strain. A light milky trichome frost concentrated at the creases where sugar leaves had once sat. I’m a sucker for classic genetics, so I picked up an eighth to review when I recently spotted Interstate 420 Acapulco Gold on the menu at nuEra Urbana.

I also enjoy hybrids with clearheaded focus but without as much energy to dose while working late at night. The plants’ yield was not super high, but the buds were dense with heavy trichomes and easy to trim. I enjoy lemon, orange, mango, pineapple, cherry, chem, sour diesel, pine and skunk, with added notes of sweetness.

Point Break is a slightly indica-leaning hybrid cross of Tropicanna Cookies and Trophy Wife, originally bred by Surfr. Bright pinks and purples blended into a light turf-green base that was shrouded by a dense milky-trichome layer and thin-orange hairs reaching out into every direction.

Grape Jubilee is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Cereal Milk and Berry Bubba. The trichomes were visibly milky but shrouded by sugar leaf remnants. During a recent stop at Star Buds Burbank a budtender told me about Grape Jubilee, one of the more indica-leaning strains from Kaviar’s new releases. Terpenes were 3.1%
